Growing up as a first generation immigrant, my parents taught me what it meant to work hard and sacrifice for the future. They sacrificed everything to give me the best shot at success.

What I’ve learned about myself over the years is that I enjoy taking on calculated risk, while my parents are completely risk averse as a result of their culture. In the eyes of my parents, investing in the way that we in America know it is something only certain professionals have the luxury of doing.
